Canon point: The manga/novel remains unfinished to this day as the original author passed away in 2004. He did however left partial notes in how he wanted the manga to be finished.
The story that is published in the manga is Cain killed Abel by decapitated him by blowing his head off with a sonic energy blast (in the anime, he blew Abel’s heart in the chest). However, Abel is revived by his colleague Tres with what is left of Lilith’s nanomachines to speed up his regeneration and healing process (this was shown as a probable ending in the anime too). Therefore, Abel isn’t dead, he is in stasis.
Therefore, the chosen canon point I pulled Abel from came from the original author's notes for the manga's ending. Long while after Esther's coronation as Queen of Albion (England). Esther and Abel bidding goodbye to each other because they have their fight on different fields. Esther battle is political while Abel is personal. Abel continued his quest to hunt for his twin brother Cain and his Order, to fight him and end him.
Items he carries: His rosary with a cross for his private prayer times, his gun the Peacemaker with the inscription ‘Sanguine et Virtue’ with silver bullets, and a photo album (small enough to fit in his pocket) of his deceased lover, Lilith Sahl where she is depicted as the Holy Madonna.

Species: Genetically altered human clone. When he transforms into his Crusnik form, he looks like an angelic looking being with a pair of black feathered wings.
Physical appearance: Abel has very long silver hair tied back in a ponytail with a black ribbon, blue eyes, wears glasses, and he is tall in height 6'4''.
Rank: He is a Commander of the Alliance Aerospace Navy (UNASF) with ties to the Nation's military, and the General Security Supervior of the Mars Colonization Project's Administration. As oppose to Cain being the Major, Abel rose to a the higher rank of Commander aboard the Ark.

Clothes: He generally wears his Catholic priest robe and black cape as his uniform, a shirt beneath his cassock, and boots.
Religion: Abel isn't particulary religious on his spiritual path as a Catholic. He doesn't practice what the Vatican Roman Catholic church preach. He just worked as an Agent of AX and his primary job is to carry out dangerous mission. His title as a Father and priest is a title only. For the most part, he's largely agnostic, but he has faith in an open-ended fate and the good will of people's human nature.
Summary: Abel Nightroad is a Crusnik, a predator type species of a superior vampire that feeds on the lower vampires in his world, being on top of the food chain. The normal vampires indigenous in his world are called the Methuselah, where their ancient bloodline has been been infected by the Kudlak Bacillus nanomachines, which were created by Krusnik nanomachines aliens as their food.
The truth of the Abel's Crusnik vampirisim is that in actuality, it is an entity named 02, an alien nanomachine who inhabits Abel as it's host. 02 the nanomchine was originally found on the planet Mars. The Crusnik nanomachines as an alien race have existed for billion of years, traveling the universe, searching for hosts. Its ship, the Ark has crashed-landed on Mars for an ancient long time until the Ark was founded by Abel and Lilith during their stay within the Mars colonies.
The original vampires, the normal vampires, were originally the human Mars colonizers, who injected themselves with the Kudlak Bacillus, to enhanced their physical strength and mental capabilities to help them survive Mars harsh environment. Upon returning to Earth, Kudlak Bacillus becomes mutated by the sun’s solar rays, and as the result, it turned the Mars colonizers into classic vampires where they thirst for human blood and when exposed to the sunlight, they burn to ashes with death as the result.
His background as written in the anime DVD booklets states the following:
"The second Nightroad son, born to be leader of the Mars colonists. He is the second "Crusnik." He is a Commander of the Alliance Aerospace Navy, and the General Security Supervior of the Mars Colonization Project's Administration; his ID is UNASF94-8-RMOC-666-02-ak. Hates himself for being "expendable goods" for the colonization project, is pessimistic about the future, and curses humanity. Inside the Ark, he caused all sorts of problems. Talking to Lilith calms his wild heart, but...
He despises humanity. He tried to burn the world using the power of the "ark"..."
Character History - the longer part of the character's Bio
Abel Nightroad is the major main protagonist in Trinity Blood. He is recognized as being a beautiful, handsome man with long silver hair and wearing black priest clothes. To understand his personality, we must understand his world, as there are many events that happened before the start of the manga, and is mentioned in the other connecting novels. To better understand the character’s history, I have to explain his history and timeline in chronological order.
Pre-Armaggadeon - 2088-2100 AD - Mars is a hellish place to live
In the world of Trinity Blood, it is a sci-fiction world where spaceships, space travel, human cloning, and the possibility of alien life is possible. Mars can be terraformed and colonized by humans as it was a desperate solution to solve the problem of overpopulation on Earth. There is no magic in this world, so the vampires in this world are not created by supernatural means. The Earth is overpopulated, and the humans are overtaxing Earth’s resources. The Nations and scientists around the world created 4 test tube children to send to Mars as part of the Mars colonization project. The 4 genetically altered children are created to lead the Mars project with their biologically enhanced bodies and increased mental/intellectual abilities to survive Mars's harsh environment and work on the scientific mission to terraform the planet as a possible secondary home for the Earth people.
Abel is one of the 4 genetically enhanced test-tube children in the space project. The eldest is Cain, the third is Lilith, and the youngest and fourth is Seth. Together they worked closely as a family on the Mars project mission. Abel is ranked Lieutenant-Colonel, for the United Nations Aerospace Force and he is in charge of the Management Security Division, where his job deals with engineering, lots of computers, and very elite hacking skills. His rank is the highest, giving him authority to be able to override programs as the administrator of the computer system, however he ranked below Cain, with Cain being the Major and Leader of the Mars Colonization project.
During Abel’s lifetime working on The Mars Colonization project, several colonizers who hated Abel and resent his authority tricked him to go outside the base. Their intention was to locked him outside in the Martian surface and kill him by oxygen deprivation, as it was a murder attempt to get rid of him from the project and remove his authority. It was Lilith who rescued him from death. On the way back to the base, Lilith’s vehicle broke down and it was during this trek that the two friends and lovers discovered a highly technologically advanced space ship, later known as "The Ark."
Inside the Ark, they found the Kudlak Bacillus and Krusnik Bacillus (nanomachines). The Krusnik Bacillus, the Nighroads discovered that the Krusnik nanomachines is compatible with genetically enhanced bodies after it was used to save Cain's life after he died during an accident, but killed a normal colonizer. Thereafter, the Kudlak Bacillus was given to the 100,000 colonizers of the Red Mars Project, who later become vampires when the Kudlak Bacillus mutated due to exposure to the Earth's sun, and the later became forgotten ancestors of the Methuselah empire.
Armaggadeon - 2100 to 2150AD - the Dark Ages - Space vampire wars against the humans
With the discovery of the Ark and the mysterious powers of the Kudlack Bacillus, nuclear war broke out on Earth and Mars as the Nations in both world fought for the possession of the Kudlak Bacillus and the Ark for it’s miraculous powers. The Mars colonizers built a ship to return back to Earth and war broke out between the Mars colonizers who already turned into vampires due to the virus-mutation from the sun and Earth people, the Terrans for supremacy of the planet.
The Nightroad siblings injected themselves with the Crunik nanomachines: Cain becoame crusnik 01, Abel became crusnik 02, and Seth became crusnik 03. The Crusnik sided with the Colonizers and with their devastating powers, they killed millions of Earth people, the Terrans. Abel alone slaughters 7 millions people, which earned Abel (along with his brother) the name Contra Mundi ("enemy of the world"). He had been also called "a God of slaughter", "God of Carnage", and even "God of Destruction." Enemy of the World means when the humans fought him and were slain by him, as he is the enemy and destroyer of the human race, and he alone is responsible for their death in his meaningless wrath and hatred against humanity. Together, the terrible trio destroyed many nations and they plunged the entire Earth into a state of near inhabitable emptiness that came to be known as the "Dark Ages" and also "Armageddon." As for the Ark, the ship survived for many centuries as the "vampire moon."
In an effort to save whatever is left of the human race, Lilith injected herself with the nanomachines and become Crusnik 04. She used her powers to teach humans how to use the technology for self-defense and protect them in order to save them from the wrath of the other 3 Crusniks and their armies. Because of her selflessness, Lilith was so revered by the humans, that for centuries, she was remembered as the Holy Madonna, The Black Madonna, and the Savior of Humanity in the war against the Contra Mundi. Cain killed Lilith by beheading her, under the lie of wanting a truce with her and presumably from being jealous of Lilith becoming close to Abel as a lover.
In that instant, upon Lilith’s murder and death, Abel realized the error of his judgment upon his wrath on the humans. He and Seth killed Cain by shoving him out of the airlock and watched him burned in Earth's atmosphere into ashes to end the war. Afterward, in grief, madness, and despair, he willed himself to a sleep-like death/coma in Lilith's catacomb tomb for over 900 years where he mourns over his own bitterness and grief...until Caterina, Cardinal and Duchess of Milan found him and woke him up.
Post Armgaddeon - 900 years later - the year 3064 AD - I'm a good priest now repenting for the lives I took
The Trinity Blood timeline in the manga started with Abel Nightroad having aged 976 years old. He has worked for the Vatican and Caterina for ten years as an AX Agent. He was known by his friends and colleagues as gentle, loving, and clumsy priest, but as an AX Agent, he usually carries out his job and his missions under the codename, "Crusnik" and with Tres, was often sent to tasks to kill Caterina enemies and silence the targets.
In his adventures with Esther, Abel Nightroad began his journey to repent for his sins and continue in Lilith’s memory, to overcome his violent hatred against the Terrans. He adopted the philosophy of pacifism and tried his hardest to practice peace, mercy, and love for all human beings by taking a serious vow to use his Crusnik powers to protect others and in self-defense.
The technology and knowledge of 900 years prior have been lost during the Armageddon wars. Much of technology continued to exist on Earth, scattered in different places, but most of the humans had lost the knowledge of how to properly operate them. The descendants of the vampire turned Mars Colonizers lived in the Methuselah Empire with their Empress (who is Abel's younger sister Seth), but likewise they suffered a similar fate where they have no knowledge of their history and origins of their ancestors. Only Abel and his sister, Seth, the Empress of the Methuselah Empire know the secret of their vampire origins.
Abel adopted Cain's rational ideas and visionary dream for a better Earth and humanity’s future, before his personality was warped and destroyed by nanomachine Crusnik 01. He honors Lilith's vision and dreams in her memory for peace between Terrans and Methuselah.
Character Personality
The past - Before and during Armagaddeon
Abel resented and hated humanity, more so at a deeper disturbing level than his brother Cain. When he was younger, there were times that the idea of a systematic genocide actually delighted him. This hatred is coming from being treated as a complete, perfect clone for his brother Cain. His whole purpose to be born, to be created by the human scientists, and to exist as a clone was to be spare organ donor to Cain, in case anything wrong happened to Cain or in case of death as Cain is a highly favored prospect of hope to save humankind, for he is the Major and Leader of the Mars Project. When Cain and Abel met for the first time, the two fast developed an unbreakable bond as brothers and become inseparable.
Over time, the scientists treated him as expendable goods and have him assigned to different tasks in their training programs and he was subjugated to different lab tests. Therefore, he was treated subhuman like a lab rat on the spaceship and during his stay on Mars. He is argumentative to everyone with his hatred vitriol against humanity and he vehemently curses humanity, very rebellious against authority figures, and also did not like his own authority being challenged. He often picked fights with his colleagues and because of his attitude problem, this lead to the murder attempt on his life during his stay on Mars, but it had also lead to his accident discovery of the Ark.
This hatred was evident when during the wars, as he single-highhandedly slaughtered 7 million humans, along with many more with Cain and Seth on the warpath to burn the world. That was his true personality: He was violent, disobedient, mouthy, morbid, quarreling, and off-putting with his ideologies. When he speaks his hatred against humans, to the ire of the people around him, he pushed them to the point where he has little to no friends due to his distrust, paranoia, and hate that poisoned his twisted mind down to his very soul. When he was given the power of "Crusnik," he used it to help begin a cycle of genocide to rid the world of humanity once in for all.
The present - 900 years after the Armageddon wars as seen in the Manga and during gameplay in thewake
Abel is a changed man at this point, completely opposite to the man and monster he once was. Throughout the manga, in which his journey as a priest was chronicled, we see Abel as an incompetent and unassuming priest, often deemed almost worthless on the job by his colleagues. He is a klutz who does’t pay attention to details, while unintentionally get into accidents during the job, and during his battles, he recklessly tackled his enemies with no strategy or plan.
He enjoys sweets where he insists in drinking tea mixed with 13 sugars, along with eating as many donuts and sandwiches as he can in one sitting. He splurged his given stipend, his salary from the church eating out in cafes. Because of his gluttonous habits, he isn’t concerned over his financial situation and carried little money in his wallet. He is also lazy and often seemed forgetful, but those traits are really by-products of his efforts to push back his past self, and put on a persona that he preferred other people to see him as: a friend, not their enemy.
As a priest, his role in his priesthood is taking a solemn vow to never shed blood ever again. Of course, being a priest, it's something akin to being a monk: Abstain from marriage (probably to deal with his grief of loosing Lilith and Cain), being close to the opposite sex as a lot of ladies in his workplace are nuns/sisters and his brothers are fellow priests (with questionable pasts), to take a path of pacifism and never kill, and to be of service to whatever Caterina of AX sets him out to do to repent for his mistakes. I can think his only reason to be a priest is something that a guilty murderer will do on the path to redeeming himself and seeking forgiveness by starting over with a second chance at life, and that's accepting the sins of his pasts, and then turning away from to make a new life for himself by accepting God and Jesus as Christ in his heart as a part of his religious practice, even though Abel isn't particularly religious in a sense, but more agnostic and accepting of human's good will in the fate of things.
He also acts foolish to avoid heavy situations and puts on a warm smile and enjoys polite, friendly banter to his friends and colleagues. While his smiles is genuine, it is also deceitful as he purpose hide what he is really thinking from other people and at times, it’s hard to tell what he’s really thinking (and this antic of hiding secrets of his Other Self frustrated Esther to no end during their time together as colleagues). He enjoys acting this way to hide the guilt of his past from other people. He wants people to see him as a silly priest who really cares about humans (Terrans) and his only wish is to protect them and protect the peace to honor Lilith’s memory and sacrifice, not just for humans, but for himself.
In truth, he actually really hates himself and sees his Other Self, 02, as a monster. His sarcasm and bitterness is him controlling his self-loathing and anger, and impatience with people. As Lilith explained to him in one chapter of the manga, he becomes bitter and angry from feeling betrayed, but there is still a spark of humanity where he wanted to desperately love others and feel their kindness, that she’s see his potential to love world and the people in it, and show them love and mercy. He is so weary to the point there are times he desperately wanted to die and end his seemingly immortal in despair, in his desperate wish to see his soulmate, Lilith again.
Abel detest seeing sacrifice and suffering in the meek. He'll detest an enemy, especially if there are others who are more than willing to cause other people pain. He will go to great lengths to protect other people to the point it’s masochistic, and yet he himself rarely become truthful of his pain as he doesn’t trust himself to be open with his own pain that often he becomes secretive of his own injury and will happily suffer for it, thinking he deserved the punishment. He fears damaging friendships and loosing their trust in him, as he’s feared his Monster self will traumatized them (as it did to Esther).
What mentally drains him that he is almost constantly doing battle with his guilt complex and conscience that tells him he doesn't deserve their trust and kept what little friendship with humans, even if he earned it. His cheerful, sweet persona may at times seem super annoying and shallow and if it’s superficial, then yes, he is faking it for your sake, but that’s him trying to protect himself from damaging and traumatizing you or hiding his own pain and depression. The only motivation that enforces to live and continue to keep on living is his final mission to find Cain and kill his mentally unstable brother to end the long standing feud that lasted for over 900 years.
When it comes to interactions with other people in the game, there maybe times he get a little desperate for company due to feeling an increase in his loneliness and depression to help distract himself, and he’ll be a little nosey in what people do, but that noisiness and questioning comes from his curiosity and boredom. He’ll do his best to protect his secret as a Crusnik, seeing his Other Self as his reminder of his sins, but once in a while, he’ll smartly hide that part of himself and reveal a thing or two about himself if he doesn’t see the harm in it for example, he will say he once was an astronaut who worked and colonized Mars to spark an interest in a conversation about science in an effort to build a friendship, but he won’t go further than that as he will try to keep the conversation as general as possible. While Abel will do his best to guard his secrets or his true thoughts, if there is a question that he doesn’t feel like answering, especially concerning his powers and his pasts, he’ll dismissed it, brush it off, or give you an answer that is applicable and acceptable, or at best, a pleasant euphemism of his hidden nature. He doesn’t hate his Other Self completely, as he sees the little buggers of his nanomachines as a useful tool, both offense/defense to protect his friends.
As a pacifist, Abel will do his best to adopt a more peaceful, and quieter approach to life. He will do his best to never act out in anger and to really reign his temper in, with patience. Under stressful situations, his temper will come off as sarcasm, and he might snap out in anger. He tend to preferred quieter places and need a lot of space to think his thoughts to himself. The church is a perfect place, in this instance to calm him during prayer times. Also, being of scientific mind, he also works from a place of logic and rationality. If you give him time and patience to think up the answers, his advice will come from a gentle, calm, analytical, articulate, and loving place like that of a Father and a priest should be. Once Abel settled down, and tuned into his caring side, he is a powerful and amazing guardian and a reliable protector over people he cares about and have acquaintances with.
Powers and Abilities/About his Crusnik form/powers

In Crusnik form, the alien nanonmachines 02 personality will take over. It refers itself as "We". The entity sees Abel as it's host and kept Abel alive for 950+ years. Abel can control the power level of 02 via verbal command, but for really strong opponents, he typically starts a battle at 40% which is enough to kill a vampire.
Abel usually starts at 40% power at any given battle and he still has control over his own consciousness and sanity. When he transforms to his Crunik form, a pair of black feathered wings will come out of his back, his eyes turned red, his hair flows up, his hands becomes claws, and he'll be in a trance where 02 personality takes over. He will have that fallen black winged angel look, regenerative healing of his injuries take place, and his strength/speed/stamina increases. His feathered wings are hard enough to use as razor sharp swords and as a defense shield to defend against lasers beams shot from airships, produce bio-electrical fields with the power of lightening, and he can fly high in the sky to take his fight to the sky. As for his main weapon, it's a huge wicked looking red scythe that he produced from his own blood, that can cut through steel and slice enemies in half. Abel is able to control at this level of power for a period length of time without draining himself too much, but when he reverts back to normal, he will be extremely drained and needs to eat or sleep with rest.
At 80%, which is the highest level, he can form bioelectric fields that is enough to destroy heavily armored tanks and airships, healing and regeneration of any broken limbs is instantaneous, and etc. While he is damned near indestructible at this point, he’ll also goes berserk and attack everyone including friends and allies, as at this power level, he loss his grip on reality. He cannot hold this power for long, and holding this high power takes a lot of energy. When he reverts back to his normal form, he'll be extremely exhausted and need a lot of naps and food with rest. Abel fears loosing his sanity and his control over his other Self, 02 whenever he used his Crusnik powers.
Abel adopted the philosophy of pacifism and nonviolence in a strenuous effort to deal with his guilt and to really reign in control over his temper, rage, and hatred. His remorse of murdering 7 million people with the help of his siblings, Cain and Seth have much to do with his struggle to really reign his powers back in, therefore what others had seen and deemed as cowardice or escaping from battle was really his effort to never use his powers and let others see that his Other Self, 02 is a powerful, homicidal monster that can plunge cities and devastate the civilizations and environment of the planet. Therefore, when it comes to combat and fighting, Abel will get nervous to fight even in his normal form and will train to restraint himself from going into battle if any at all.
He is also slightly combat phobic due to the trauma of being left out to die on Mars by the colonizers and experienced oxygen deprivation in Mars non-existent atmosphere. He was forced to kill his own brother with the help of his sister Seth, pushed him into the airlock and to watched him slowly die as he turned to ashes on the high fall dropped down to Earth's atmosphere.
While he's a sharp shooter and has accurate aim as a gunslinger, he gets nervous having to kill anyone (due to his past as Contra Mundi during the Teran wars) even if it's for the greater good. He considers Crusnik a "mark of his sins," a side of himself he hates showing anyone and prefers to use only as a last resort when absolutely necessary - such as self-defense and protecting his friends. The problem is, the harder he resists and push 02‘s powerful pull to release itself, the more draining it is for him mentally and physically.
With the infusion of + Lilith nanomachines flowing in his bloodstream, he has increased healing regenerative abilities and increased shield.
Overall summary: You’ll only need to be concerned with two levels of Abel’s power. There is 40% and 80%. You’ll never see Abel at 100%, because operating at 100% the nanomachines power will be extremely physical/mental taxing on Abel’s body. The nanomachines will sense their host’s body dysfunction and in order to protect it’s body, it will automatically shut-down and Abel will black out and loose consciousness for several days, 3 day maximum.
In the game setting, if anything, most likely we will see Abel use 40% of his nanomachines power against strong opponents for self-defense or protecting himself and others. That was it. 80% of power will only be used as a last resort, and there is a open chance and risk for death since Abel will be under a trance-like state and have little awareness of his surroundings. He won’t be able to hold that much power even at that level.
As for feeding, Abel can only feed on vampires from his world. Those vampires have nanomachines called bacillus, which his Crusnik form feeds on. Therefore, vampires from other worlds and normal humans are safe around him. In the wake game, he doesn't need to worry about going hungry, because being infused with Lilith's blood and her nanomachines took care of that, and he doesn't need to feed on bacillus blood for several years.
Since his vampire powers are purely technological as they are sentient nanomachines called 02, traditional vampires/demons whose powers is based on darkness or magic cannot sense his vampirism at all. His normal/regular form is human. However, psychic/empaths can sense Abel's darkness within him in his regular, but it's really a heavy emotion of his guilt and 02 is sleeping/dormant.
However, when raised his energy, regardless of percent, vampires/demons or other supernatural or magically inclined persons can sense a dramatic raise in his aura/energy/power levels.

What is he going to do once he finds out his powers are nerfed?
Abel at first, will become very lazy to do anything as his concern with Bending is more primary focus on Bending basic necessities like food and shelter. Eventually, over time, once he's settled down and he gets over confusion and world/dimension transitional shock, he'll become diligent with his Bending, as he will need his powers to be of use to anyone, especially if he wants to be a efficient, reliableadult Guardian and protector of his friends and allies.
Though he tend jumps to 40%, what I have in mind is a slow increment of say 5%, 10%, 15%, and etc depending how well he's adjusted to the game setting and environment, and depends on how focused he is . Though most likely, the first thing of his powers that he will Bend? Perhaps his wings, just the wings. His angelic looking appearance is popular and always in demand in any given game settinglol.

I wager it's going to be cold in the city late at night, but I suppose I'll just have to go find a box and sleep in the park. I wouldn't mind that, b-but...! I don't like the cold! My robes are not even thick enough for the upcoming winter!

His entry in the world of Nautilus hasn't been easy. First, he remembered everything that had happened to him before he arrived. Events in his life that made his transition difficult. The first memory that came to mind was his fight with his twin brother, Cain. He was killed by him and lost his head. It was over so quickly He felt so foolish, to rush into battle like that without preparation, but his rage got the better of him.
He thought he was dead. But then being dead, there was no thought. Until he woke up to be revived by Tres, where he was injected with whatever is left of Lilith's nanonmachines in his bloodstream to speed up his regeneration healing process. Therefore, he wasn't dead. He was in stasis. At first, he was angry at Tres for going underground to the tomb of his Beloved Lilith. Lilith should be left alone to rest in peace. He didn't any of her parts to be a part of him.
He was wrong. Tres acted out of necessity. The world needed the help of Father Abel Nightroad once again, much more now than before, as the conflict with Esther being on her way to be crowned as Queen of Albion had escalted. What's worst was that his brother, Cain still alive and at large with his Order. He has no choice, but to live again, even though he preferred to die and join Lilith in spirit. Abel chosen to live for what he hoped to be his one last final mission, that becomes his singular purpose to live: to destroy Cain and whatever is left of his Order, once and for all. Not just for Queen Esther's protection and in service to the nation but to the world and to end the tragic feud between him and his brother that lasted over over 950 years.
With the political instability, and an impending war, Queen Esther have much on her hands. She was glad to meet the Father for one last time, but she no longer wanted to be a burden to him. So, it saddens the priest's heart that she was the one who initiated the idea of letting him go and parted ways with him, and bid him good-bye. The two close friends and comrades have an understanding that the both of them have their own fights to settle, but they cannot win if they're together.
After they said their good-byes, Abel traveled across the vast lands of Europe, searching for his brother and enemy, Cain for many months, looking for any clues or traces for leads on where Cain and his Order might be. The search was difficult as there were hours in the late nights during his hunt, where he cried to himself alone while being one of a faceless being in the crowd, unrecognizable, as no one in the world know who he is as a Crusnik, and quite frankly nobody has to know. Being a Crusnik was the mark of his sins, and his brother is the same Crusnik as him.
It was difficult to getting over it as it was complicated. To heal from a difficult relationship with his brother, whom he despised for most of his life, Abel no longer have any heart left to forgive him. Cain is gone, and the nanomachines Crusnik 01 took host of his body and rendered his mind into insanity.
The previous battle they had last time even left it's mark on him, a scar that rings around his neck as a testimony and reminder of their last confrontation. What gave him comfort is eating the food he likes in the cafe, eating expensive candy with whatever money he has left, before he quits the AX and the Vatican in his choice to support his beloved Queen Esther's side. It is the food that taught him that he is alive and real, and his love for his Queen on Earth, Esther, and his other Queen in Heaven, the Holy Madonna, Lilith in spirit is what gave him the courage to continue.
One night, he slept in an inn for a rest from his travels, and that was when he woke up in the city of Nautilis. He was stuck in his own limbo of confusion and he wandered around the city, carrying only what he has. The priestly robes on his back, his rosary, and his gun and what the world was given to him, which is the smartphone device.
He can't say he disliked being in a different world and carrying the uncertainty of how long his stay will be. Will it be a month? Many months? A year? Or years? He doesn't mind staying, as he is not in a hurry to find Cain and if anything, he doesn't look forward to meet him and reunite with him again as that will lead to their final battle. Perhaps, this is a break, a small vacation to help recover what he loss: His lover, Lilith, his brother Cain, and his best friend, Esther, the Queen of Albion (England).
Eventually, his mind managed to come to, and he can pull himself together somewhat to became more aware of this world of Nautilus. He was an emotional wreck and a mess and still is. He found his own temporary living uncomfortable, so sleeping and resting doesn't come easy, as he had nightmares of his brother haunting him, making him worried of his own mortality, as his brother is his own death sentence.
While he isn't exactly over certain events of his life and he has not come in terms peacefully with himself yet...he realized he needs to be part of society and be a part of the living again. And he needed help, as he is very clueless in this world. So, he pulled himself together to look nice and dressed nice in his priestly robes. He pushed back his sadness, though the truth of the matter is that he is exhausted doing so, and forced a smile.
He wants people to recognize him as the smiling, helpful priest, and that's the persona they should be accustomed to, as that person is everyone's friend and helpful neighbor, an ally who will always be on their side no matter what, and will always lend a helping hand even in times of distress and despair in the late hours of the night. Not the Contra Mundi, the Enemy of the World, no not him, not the Monster that wanted to destroy humanity. Nobody has to know, since the Priest persona will protect that vulnerable, tragic secret of his away from nosy, impressionable minds. His terrible secret, his terrible sin.
With the smartphone in hand, he turned the device on and log into a network and pushed the button to start the video. People can see a handsome blue eyed priest with long silver hair tied in the back with a black ribbon and wearing a black priest cassock. In the background is a view of the city behind. Smiling warmly and friendly, he eased himself into his klutzy priest persona, trying to act authentic as possible, and trying to overcome his nervous and shyness, he began to speak and said, "Hello."
Hopefully, that would be a start of his adventure.
Additional notes
With the addition of Lilith's nanomachines coursing in his blood-stream mixing with his own, Abel will occasionally have dreams and visions of her during sleep or when he's daydreaming during private praying/meditation times. The dreams/visions will increase if he's in emotional distress or having trouble coping with stress. You can interpreted his visions as flash-backs or a part of his deeper mind consciousness needs a guiding light on his spiritual path and decision making process. These dreams will be brief, but that's all the muse needed to get himself to be motivated or even care about other people, including himself if he gets too stressed out. Abel will described as "feeling the strength" of her power and love in body and spirit, coursing through his veins.

Canon point: The manga/novel remains unfinished to this day as the original author passed away in 2004. He did however left partial notes in how he wanted the manga to be finished.
The story that is published in the manga is Cain killed Abel by decapitated him by blowing his head off with a sonic energy blast (in the anime, he blew Abel’s heart in the chest). However, Abel is revived by his colleague Tres with what is left of Lilith’s nanomachines to speed up his regeneration and healing process (this was shown as a probable ending in the anime too). Therefore, Abel isn’t dead, he is in stasis.
Therefore, the chosen canon point I pulled Abel from came from the original author's notes for the manga's ending. Long while after Esther's coronation as Queen of Albion (England). Esther and Abel bidding goodbye to each other because they have their fight on different fields. Esther battle is political while Abel is personal. Abel continued his quest to hunt for his twin brother Cain and his Order, to fight him and end him.

Religion: Abel isn't particulary religious on his spiritual path as a Catholic. He doesn't practice what the Vatican Roman Catholic church preach. Summary: Abel Nightroad is a Crusnik, a predator type species of a superior vampire that feeds on the lower vampires in his world, being on top of the food chain. The normal vampires indigenous in his world are called the Methuselah, where their ancient bloodline has been been infected by the Kudlak Bacillus nanomachines, which were created by Krusnik nanomachines aliens as their food.
The truth of the Abel's Crusnik vampirisim is that in actuality, it is an entity named 02, an alien nanomachine who inhabits Abel as it's host. 02 the nanomchine was originally found on the planet Mars. The Crusnik nanomachines as an alien race have existed for billion of years, traveling the universe, searching for hosts. Its ship, the Ark has crashed-landed on Mars for an ancient long time until the Ark was founded by Abel and Lilith during their stay within the Mars colonies.
The original vampires, the normal vampires, were originally the human Mars colonizers, who injected themselves with the Kudlak Bacillus, to enhanced their physical strength and mental capabilities to help them survive Mars harsh environment. Upon returning to Earth, Kudlak Bacillus becomes mutated by the sun’s solar rays, and as the result, it turned the Mars colonizers into classic vampires where they thirst for human blood and when exposed to the sunlight, they burn to ashes with death as the result.

Character History - the longer part of the character's Bio
Abel Nightroad is the major main protagonist in Trinity Blood. He is recognized as being a beautiful, handsome man with long silver hair and wearing black priest clothes. To understand his personality, we must understand his world, as there are many events that happened before the start of the manga, and is mentioned in the other connecting novels. To better understand the character’s history, I have to explain his history and timeline in chronological order.
Pre-Armaggadeon - 2088-2100 AD - Mars is a hellish place to live
In the world of Trinity Blood, it is a sci-fiction world where spaceships, space travel, human cloning, and the possibility of alien life is possible. Mars can be terraformed and colonized by humans as it was a desperate solution to solve the problem of overpopulation on Earth. There is no magic in this world, so the vampires in this world are not created by supernatural means. The Earth is overpopulated, and the humans are overtaxing Earth’s resources. The Nations and scientists around the world created 4 test tube children to send to Mars as part of the Mars colonization project. The 4 genetically altered children are created to lead the Mars project with their biologically enhanced bodies and increased mental/intellectual abilities to survive Mars's harsh environment and work on the scientific mission to terraform the planet as a possible secondary home for the Earth people.
Abel is one of the 4 genetically enhanced test-tube children in the space project. The eldest is Cain, the third is Lilith, and the youngest and fourth is Seth. Together they worked closely as a family on the Mars project mission. Abel is ranked Lieutenant-Colonel, for the United Nations Aerospace Force and he is in charge of the Management Security Division, where his job deals with engineering, lots of computers, and very elite hacking skills. His rank is the highest, giving him authority to be able to override programs as the administrator of the computer system, however he ranked below Cain, with Cain being the Major and Leader of the Mars Colonization project.
During Abel’s lifetime working on The Mars Colonization project, several colonizers who hated Abel and resent his authority tricked him to go outside the base. Their intention was to locked him outside in the Martian surface and kill him by oxygen deprivation, as it was a murder attempt to get rid of him from the project and remove his authority. It was Lilith who rescued him from death. On the way back to the base, Lilith’s vehicle broke down and it was during this trek that the two friends and lovers discovered a highly technologically advanced space ship, later known as "The Ark."
Inside the Ark, they found the Kudlak Bacillus and Krusnik Bacillus (nanomachines). The Krusnik Bacillus, the Nighroads discovered that the Krusnik nanomachines is compatible with genetically enhanced bodies after it was used to save Cain's life after he died during an accident, but killed a normal colonizer. Thereafter, the Kudlak Bacillus was given to the 100,000 colonizers of the Red Mars Project, who later become vampires when the Kudlak Bacillus mutated due to exposure to the Earth's sun, and the later became forgotten ancestors of the Methuselah empire.
Armaggadeon - 2100 to 2150AD - the Dark Ages - Space vampire wars against the humans
With the discovery of the Ark and the mysterious powers of the Kudlack Bacillus, nuclear war broke out on Earth and Mars as the Nations in both world fought for the possession of the Kudlak Bacillus and the Ark for it’s miraculous powers. The Mars colonizers built a ship to return back to Earth and war broke out between the Mars colonizers who already turned into vampires due to the virus-mutation from the sun and Earth people, the Terrans for supremacy of the planet.
The Nightroad siblings injected themselves with the Crunik nanomachines: Cain becoame crusnik 01, Abel became crusnik 02, and Seth became crusnik 03. The Crusnik sided with the Colonizers and with their devastating powers, they killed millions of Earth people, the Terrans. Abel alone slaughters 7 millions people, which earned Abel (along with his brother) the name Contra Mundi ("enemy of the world"). He had been also called "a God of slaughter", "God of Carnage", and even "God of Destruction." Enemy of the World means when the humans fought him and were slain by him, as he is the enemy and destroyer of the human race, and he alone is responsible for their death in his meaningless wrath and hatred against humanity. Together, the terrible trio destroyed many nations and they plunged the entire Earth into a state of near inhabitable emptiness that came to be known as the "Dark Ages" and also "Armageddon." As for the Ark, the ship survived for many centuries as the "vampire moon."
In an effort to save whatever is left of the human race, Lilith injected herself with the nanomachines and become Crusnik 04. She used her powers to teach humans how to use the technology for self-defense and protect them in order to save them from the wrath of the other 3 Crusniks and their armies. Because of her selflessness, Lilith was so revered by the humans, that for centuries, she was remembered as the Holy Madonna, The Black Madonna, and the Savior of Humanity in the war against the Contra Mundi. Cain killed Lilith by beheading her, under the lie of wanting a truce with her and presumably from being jealous of Lilith becoming close to Abel as a lover.
In that instant, upon Lilith’s murder and death, Abel realized the error of his judgment upon his wrath on the humans. He and Seth killed Cain by shoving him out of the airlock and watched him burned in Earth's atmosphere into ashes to end the war. Afterward, in grief, madness, and despair, he willed himself to a sleep-like death/coma in Lilith's catacomb tomb for over 900 years where he mourns over his own bitterness and grief...until Caterina, Cardinal and Duchess of Milan found him and woke him up.
Post Armgaddeon - 900 years later - the year 3064 AD - I'm a good priest now repenting for the lives I took
The Trinity Blood timeline in the manga started with Abel Nightroad having aged 976 years old. He has worked for the Vatican and Caterina for ten years as an AX Agent. He was known by his friends and colleagues as gentle, loving, and clumsy priest, but as an AX Agent, he usually carries out his job and his missions under the codename, "Crusnik" and with Tres, was often sent to tasks to kill Caterina enemies and silence the targets.
In his adventures with Esther, Abel Nightroad began his journey to repent for his sins and continue in Lilith’s memory, to overcome his violent hatred against the Terrans. He adopted the philosophy of pacifism and tried his hardest to practice peace, mercy, and love for all human beings by taking a serious vow to use his Crusnik powers to protect others and in self-defense.
The technology and knowledge of 900 years prior have been lost during the Armageddon wars. Much of technology continued to exist on Earth, scattered in different places, but most of the humans had lost the knowledge of how to properly operate them. The descendants of the vampire turned Mars Colonizers lived in the Methuselah Empire with their Empress (who is Abel's younger sister Seth), but likewise they suffered a similar fate where they have no knowledge of their history and origins of their ancestors. Only Abel and his sister, Seth, the Empress of the Methuselah Empire know the secret of their vampire origins.
Abel adopted Cain's rational ideas and visionary dream for a better Earth and humanity’s future, before his personality was warped and destroyed by nanomachine Crusnik 01. He honors Lilith's vision and dreams in her memory for peace between Terrans and Methuselah.
Character Personality
The past - Before and during Armagaddeon
Abel resented and hated humanity, more so at a deeper disturbing level than his brother Cain. When he was younger, there were times that the idea of a systematic genocide actually delighted him. This hatred is coming from being treated as a complete, perfect clone for his brother Cain. His whole purpose to be born, to be created by the human scientists, and to exist as a clone was to be spare organ donor to Cain, in case anything wrong happened to Cain or in case of death as Cain is a highly favored prospect of hope to save humankind, for he is the Major and Leader of the Mars Project. When Cain and Abel met for the first time, the two fast developed an unbreakable bond as brothers and become inseparable.
Over time, the scientists treated him as expendable goods and have him assigned to different tasks in their training programs and he was subjugated to different lab tests. Therefore, he was treated subhuman like a lab rat on the spaceship and during his stay on Mars. He is argumentative to everyone with his hatred vitriol against humanity and he vehemently curses humanity, very rebellious against authority figures, and also did not like his own authority being challenged. He often picked fights with his colleagues and because of his attitude problem, this lead to the murder attempt on his life during his stay on Mars, but it had also lead to his accident discovery of the Ark.
This hatred was evident when during the wars, as he single-highhandedly slaughtered 7 million humans, along with many more with Cain and Seth on the warpath to burn the world. That was his true personality: He was violent, disobedient, mouthy, morbid, quarreling, and off-putting with his ideologies. When he speaks his hatred against humans, to the ire of the people around him, he pushed them to the point where he has little to no friends due to his distrust, paranoia, and hate that poisoned his twisted mind down to his very soul. When he was given the power of "Crusnik," he used it to help begin a cycle of genocide to rid the world of humanity once in for all.
The present - 900 years after the Armageddon wars as seen in the Manga and during gameplay in thewake
Abel is a changed man at this point, completely opposite to the man and monster he once was. Throughout the manga, in which his journey as a priest was chronicled, we see Abel as an incompetent and unassuming priest, often deemed almost worthless on the job by his colleagues. He is a klutz who does’t pay attention to details, while unintentionally get into accidents during the job, and during his battles, he recklessly tackled his enemies with no strategy or plan.
He enjoys sweets where he insists in drinking tea mixed with 13 sugars, along with eating as many donuts and sandwiches as he can in one sitting. He splurged his given stipend, his salary from the church eating out in cafes. Because of his gluttonous habits, he isn’t concerned over his financial situation and carried little money in his wallet. He is also lazy and often seemed forgetful, but those traits are really by-products of his efforts to push back his past self, and put on a persona that he preferred other people to see him as: a friend, not their enemy.
As a priest, his role in his priesthood is taking a solemn vow to never shed blood ever again. Of course, being a priest, it's something akin to being a monk: Abstain from marriage (probably to deal with his grief of loosing Lilith and Cain), being close to the opposite sex as a lot of ladies in his workplace are nuns/sisters and his brothers are fellow priests (with questionable pasts), to take a path of pacifism and never kill, and to be of service to whatever Caterina of AX sets him out to do to repent for his mistakes. I can think his only reason to be a priest is something that a guilty murderer will do on the path to redeeming himself and seeking forgiveness by starting over with a second chance at life, and that's accepting the sins of his pasts, and then turning away from to make a new life for himself by accepting God and Jesus as Christ in his heart as a part of his religious practice, even though Abel isn't particularly religious in a sense, but more agnostic and accepting of human's good will in the fate of things.
He also acts foolish to avoid heavy situations and puts on a warm smile and enjoys polite, friendly banter to his friends and colleagues. While his smiles is genuine, it is also deceitful as he purpose hide what he is really thinking from other people and at times, it’s hard to tell what he’s really thinking (and this antic of hiding secrets of his Other Self frustrated Esther to no end during their time together as colleagues). He enjoys acting this way to hide the guilt of his past from other people. He wants people to see him as a silly priest who really cares about humans (Terrans) and his only wish is to protect them and protect the peace to honor Lilith’s memory and sacrifice, not just for humans, but for himself.
In truth, he actually really hates himself and sees his Other Self, 02, as a monster. His sarcasm and bitterness is him controlling his self-loathing and anger, and impatience with people. As Lilith explained to him in one chapter of the manga, he becomes bitter and angry from feeling betrayed, but there is still a spark of humanity where he wanted to desperately love others and feel their kindness, that she’s see his potential to love world and the people in it, and show them love and mercy. He is so weary to the point there are times he desperately wanted to die and end his seemingly immortal in despair, in his desperate wish to see his soulmate, Lilith again.
Abel detest seeing sacrifice and suffering in the meek. He'll detest an enemy, especially if there are others who are more than willing to cause other people pain. He will go to great lengths to protect other people to the point it’s masochistic, and yet he himself rarely become truthful of his pain as he doesn’t trust himself to be open with his own pain that often he becomes secretive of his own injury and will happily suffer for it, thinking he deserved the punishment. He fears damaging friendships and loosing their trust in him, as he’s feared his Monster self will traumatized them (as it did to Esther).
What mentally drains him that he is almost constantly doing battle with his guilt complex and conscience that tells him he doesn't deserve their trust and kept what little friendship with humans, even if he earned it. His cheerful, sweet persona may at times seem super annoying and shallow and if it’s superficial, then yes, he is faking it for your sake, but that’s him trying to protect himself from damaging and traumatizing you or hiding his own pain and depression. The only motivation that enforces to live and continue to keep on living is his final mission to find Cain and kill his mentally unstable brother to end the long standing feud that lasted for over 900 years.
When it comes to interactions with other people in the game, there maybe times he get a little desperate for company due to feeling an increase in his loneliness and depression to help distract himself, and he’ll be a little nosey in what people do, but that noisiness and questioning comes from his curiosity and boredom. He’ll do his best to protect his secret as a Crusnik, seeing his Other Self as his reminder of his sins, but once in a while, he’ll smartly hide that part of himself and reveal a thing or two about himself if he doesn’t see the harm in it for example, he will say he once was an astronaut who worked and colonized Mars to spark an interest in a conversation about science in an effort to build a friendship, but he won’t go further than that as he will try to keep the conversation as general as possible. While Abel will do his best to guard his secrets or his true thoughts, if there is a question that he doesn’t feel like answering, especially concerning his powers and his pasts, he’ll dismissed it, brush it off, or give you an answer that is applicable and acceptable, or at best, a pleasant euphemism of his hidden nature. He doesn’t hate his Other Self completely, as he sees the little buggers of his nanomachines as a useful tool, both offense/defense to protect his friends.
As a pacifist, Abel will do his best to adopt a more peaceful, and quieter approach to life. He will do his best to never act out in anger and to really reign his temper in, with patience. Under stressful situations, his temper will come off as sarcasm, and he might snap out in anger. He tend to preferred quieter places and need a lot of space to think his thoughts to himself. The church is a perfect place, in this instance to calm him during prayer times. Also, being of scientific mind, he also works from a place of logic and rationality. If you give him time and patience to think up the answers, his advice will come from a gentle, calm, analytical, articulate, and loving place like that of a Father and a priest should be. Once Abel settled down, and tuned into his caring side, he is a powerful and amazing guardian and a reliable protector over people he cares about and have acquaintances with.

In Crusnik form, the alien nanonmachines 02 personality will take over. It refers itself as "We". The entity sees Abel as it's host and kept Abel alive for 950+ years. Abel can control the power level of 02 via verbal command, but for really strong opponents, he typically starts a battle at 40% which is enough to kill a vampire.
Abel usually starts at 40% power at any given battle and he still has control over his own consciousness and sanity. When he transforms to his Crunik form, a pair of black feathered wings will come out of his back, his eyes turned red, his hair flows up, his hands becomes claws, and he'll be in a trance where 02 personality takes over. He will have that fallen black winged angel look, regenerative healing of his injuries take place, and his strength/speed/stamina increases. His feathered wings are hard enough to use as razor sharp swords and as a defense shield to defend against lasers beams shot from airships, produce bio-electrical fields with the power of lightening, and he can fly high in the sky to take his fight to the sky. As for his main weapon, it's a huge wicked looking red scythe that he produced from his own blood, that can cut through steel and slice enemies in half. Abel is able to control at this level of power for a period length of time without draining himself too much, but when he reverts back to normal, he will be extremely drained and needs to eat or sleep with rest.
At 80%, which is the highest level, he can form bioelectric fields that is enough to destroy heavily armored tanks and airships, healing and regeneration of any broken limbs is instantaneous, and etc. While he is damned near indestructible at this point, he’ll also goes berserk and attack everyone including friends and allies, as at this power level, he loss his grip on reality. He cannot hold this power for long, and holding this high power takes a lot of energy. When he reverts back to his normal form, he'll be extremely exhausted and need a lot of naps and food with rest. Abel fears loosing his sanity and his control over his other Self, 02 whenever he used his Crusnik powers.
Abel adopted the philosophy of pacifism and nonviolence in a strenuous effort to deal with his guilt and to really reign in control over his temper, rage, and hatred. His remorse of murdering 7 million people with the help of his siblings, Cain and Seth have much to do with his struggle to really reign his powers back in, therefore what others had seen and deemed as cowardice or escaping from battle was really his effort to never use his powers and let others see that his Other Self, 02 is a powerful, homicidal monster that can plunge cities and devastate the civilizations and environment of the planet. Therefore, when it comes to combat and fighting, Abel will get nervous to fight even in his normal form and will train to restraint himself from going into battle if any at all.
He is also slightly combat phobic due to the trauma of being left out to die on Mars by the colonizers and experienced oxygen deprivation in Mars non-existent atmosphere. He was forced to kill his own brother with the help of his sister Seth, pushed him into the airlock and to watched him slowly die as he turned to ashes on the high fall dropped down to Earth's atmosphere.
While he's a sharp shooter and has accurate aim as a gunslinger, he gets nervous having to kill anyone (due to his past as Contra Mundi during the Teran wars) even if it's for the greater good. He considers Crusnik a "mark of his sins," a side of himself he hates showing anyone and prefers to use only as a last resort when absolutely necessary - such as self-defense and protecting his friends. The problem is, the harder he resists and push 02‘s powerful pull to release itself, the more draining it is for him mentally and physically.
With the infusion of + Lilith nanomachines flowing in his bloodstream, he has increased healing regenerative abilities and increased shield.
Overall summary: You’ll only need to be concerned with two levels of Abel’s power. There is 40% and 80%. You’ll never see Abel at 100%, because operating at 100% the nanomachines power will be extremely physical/mental taxing on Abel’s body. The nanomachines will sense their host’s body dysfunction and in order to protect it’s body, it will automatically shut-down and Abel will black out and loose consciousness for several days, 3 day maximum.
In the game setting, if anything, most likely we will see Abel use 40% of his nanomachines power against strong opponents for self-defense or protecting himself and others. That was it. 80% of power will only be used as a last resort, and there is a open chance and risk for death since Abel will be under a trance-like state and have little awareness of his surroundings. He won’t be able to hold that much power even at that level.
As for feeding, Abel can only feed on vampires from his world. Those vampires have nanomachines called bacillus, which his Crusnik form feeds on. Therefore, vampires from other worlds and normal humans are safe around him. In the wake game, he doesn't need to worry about going hungry, because being infused with Lilith's blood and her nanomachines took care of that, and he doesn't need to feed on bacillus blood for several years.
Since his vampire powers are purely technological as they are sentient nanomachines called 02, traditional vampires/demons whose powers is based on darkness or magic cannot sense his vampirism at all. His normal/regular form is human. However, psychic/empaths can sense Abel's darkness within him in his regular, but it's really a heavy emotion of his guilt and 02 is sleeping/dormant.
However, when raised his energy, regardless of percent, vampires/demons or other supernatural or magically inclined persons can sense a dramatic raise in his aura/energy/power levels.

Abel at first, will become very lazy to do anything as his concern with Bending is more primary focus on Bending basic necessities like food and shelter. Eventually, over time, once he's settled down and he gets over confusion and world/dimension transitional shock, he'll become diligent with his Bending, as he will need his powers to be of use to anyone, especially if he wants to be a efficient, reliable
Though he tend jumps to 40%, what I have in mind is a slow increment of say 5%, 10%, 15%, and etc depending how well he's adjusted to the game setting and environment, and depends on how focused he is . Though most likely, the first thing of his powers that he will Bend? Perhaps his wings, just the wings. His angelic looking appearance is popular and always in demand in any given game setting

Um, what else? Oh yes! Hello, my name is Father Abel Nightroad. I am a traveling priest. I used to work for the Vatican, but I had recently lost my job. So, if you ask me what else I can do as a priest, I don't really know. Being a priest is a not a popular job for many, as this is a calling."
[In a quieter voice. He carried a certain reluctance to ask for help. He knows he's going to appear acting like a beggar, and he doesn't want to appear rude or annoying.]
"And um, if anyone could spare some change for me for lunch, I would be really grateful. I'm hungry. Also, how do you people find a place to sleep for tonight? I wager it's going to be cold in the city late at night, but I suppose I'll just have to go find a box and sleep in the park. I wouldn't mind that, b-but...! I don't like the cold! My robes are not even thick enough for the upcoming winter!
[Small little lie, they are thick enough. He was really being melodramatic.]

Third Person
His entry in the world of Nautilus hasn't been easy. First, he remembered everything that had happened to him before he arrived. Events in his life that made his transition difficult. The first memory that came to mind was his fight with his twin brother, Cain. He was killed by him and lost his head. It was over so quickly He felt so foolish, to rush into battle like that without preparation, but his rage got the better of him.
He thought he was dead. But then being dead, there was no thought. Until he woke up to be revived by Tres, where he was injected with whatever is left of Lilith's nanonmachines in his bloodstream to speed up his regeneration healing process. Therefore, he wasn't dead. He was in stasis. At first, he was angry at Tres for going underground to the tomb of his Beloved Lilith. Lilith should be left alone to rest in peace. He didn't any of her parts to be a part of him.
He was wrong. Tres acted out of necessity. The world needed the help of Father Abel Nightroad once again, much more now than before, as the conflict with Esther being on her way to be crowned as Queen of Albion had escalted. What's worst was that his brother, Cain still alive and at large with his Order. He has no choice, but to live again, even though he preferred to die and join Lilith in spirit. Abel chosen to live for what he hoped to be his one last final mission, that becomes his singular purpose to live: to destroy Cain and whatever is left of his Order, once and for all. Not just for Queen Esther's protection and in service to the nation but to the world and to end the tragic feud between him and his brother that lasted over over 950 years.
With the political instability, and an impending war, Queen Esther have much on her hands. She was glad to meet the Father for one last time, but she no longer wanted to be a burden to him. So, it saddens the priest's heart that she was the one who initiated the idea of letting him go and parted ways with him, and bid him good-bye. The two close friends and comrades have an understanding that the both of them have their own fights to settle, but they cannot win if they're together.
After they said their good-byes, Abel traveled across the vast lands of Europe, searching for his brother and enemy, Cain for many months, looking for any clues or traces for leads on where Cain and his Order might be. The search was difficult as there were hours in the late nights during his hunt, where he cried to himself alone while being one of a faceless being in the crowd, unrecognizable, as no one in the world know who he is as a Crusnik, and quite frankly nobody has to know. Being a Crusnik was the mark of his sins, and his brother is the same Crusnik as him.
It was difficult to getting over it as it was complicated. To heal from a difficult relationship with his brother, whom he despised for most of his life, Abel no longer have any heart left to forgive him. Cain is gone, and the nanomachines Crusnik 01 took host of his body and rendered his mind into insanity.
The previous battle they had last time even left it's mark on him, a scar that rings around his neck as a testimony and reminder of their last confrontation. What gave him comfort is eating the food he likes in the cafe, eating expensive candy with whatever money he has left, before he quits the AX and the Vatican in his choice to support his beloved Queen Esther's side. It is the food that taught him that he is alive and real, and his love for his Queen on Earth, Esther, and his other Queen in Heaven, the Holy Madonna, Lilith in spirit is what gave him the courage to continue.
One night, he slept in an inn for a rest from his travels, and that was when he woke up in the city of Nautilis. He was stuck in his own limbo of confusion and he wandered around the city, carrying only what he has. The priestly robes on his back, his rosary, and his gun and what the world was given to him, which is the smartphone device.
He can't say he disliked being in a different world and carrying the uncertainty of how long his stay will be. Will it be a month? Many months? A year? Or years? He doesn't mind staying, as he is not in a hurry to find Cain and if anything, he doesn't look forward to meet him and reunite with him again as that will lead to their final battle. Perhaps, this is a break, a small vacation to help recover what he loss: His lover, Lilith, his brother Cain, and his best friend, Esther, the Queen of Albion (England).
Eventually, his mind managed to come to, and he can pull himself together somewhat to became more aware of this world of Nautilus. He was an emotional wreck and a mess and still is. He found his own temporary living uncomfortable, so sleeping and resting doesn't come easy, as he had nightmares of his brother haunting him, making him worried of his own mortality, as his brother is his own death sentence.
While he isn't exactly over certain events of his life and he has not come in terms peacefully with himself yet...he realized he needs to be part of society and be a part of the living again. And he needed help, as he is very clueless in this world. So, he pulled himself together to look nice and dressed nice in his priestly robes. He pushed back his sadness, though the truth of the matter is that he is exhausted doing so, and forced a smile.
He wants people to recognize him as the smiling, helpful priest, and that's the persona they should be accustomed to, as that person is everyone's friend and helpful neighbor, an ally who will always be on their side no matter what, and will always lend a helping hand even in times of distress and despair in the late hours of the night. Not the Contra Mundi, the Enemy of the World, no not him, not the Monster that wanted to destroy humanity. Nobody has to know, since the Priest persona will protect that vulnerable, tragic secret of his away from nosy, impressionable minds. His terrible secret, his terrible sin.
With the smartphone in hand, he turned the device on and log into a network and pushed the button to start the video. People can see a handsome blue eyed priest with long silver hair tied in the back with a black ribbon and wearing a black priest cassock. In the background is a view of the city behind. Smiling warmly and friendly, he eased himself into his klutzy priest persona, trying to act authentic as possible, and trying to overcome his nervous and shyness, he began to speak and said, "Hello."
Hopefully, that would be a start of his adventure.
Additional notes
With the addition of Lilith's nanomachines coursing in his blood-stream mixing with his own, Abel will occasionally have dreams and visions of her during sleep or when he's daydreaming during private praying/meditation times. The dreams/visions will increase if he's in emotional distress or having trouble coping with stress. You can interpreted his visions as flash-backs or a part of his deeper mind consciousness needs a guiding light on his spiritual path and decision making process. These dreams will be brief, but that's all the muse needed to get himself to be motivated or even care about other people, including himself if he gets too stressed out. Abel will described as "feeling the strength" of her power and love in body and spirit, coursing through his veins.

Cain: Elder twin brother, went insane due to being injected 100%, still alive and at large in his world, very hateful and bane of his life, Abel will kill him upon arrival without hesitation...if restoration and removal of the nanomachines from Cain's bloodstream is not possible.
Lilith: Best friend, lover, but also Abel was her antangonistic enemy boyfriend when he tried to destroy humanity during the Armggadeon wars and she tried to save them and protect them...and then Cain is a strategetic dick by having lied to her about a peace truce and killed her. Deceased. Much of her blood is now infused within his blood stream to revive him from statis after Abel was killed by Cain.
Seth: Empress of the Metsulah Empire of Vampires, he miss his little sister after having not seen her for nearly 8 centuries, not since we have to kill Elder brother by kicking him out of the airlock.
Caterina: The woman who found him and awaken him from his tomb. A colleague and close friend.
Esther: A friend and colleague, this nun was actually the long lost heir of the Queen of England, and in canon, she ascend to the throne. They are close friends, and a potential love interests until she lets him go and dismissed him, because strong queens don't need a man's protection, amirite?
Tres: A fellow father and robot buddy, he is a friend and colleague.
Everyone else: Pretty neutral, gets alone well, and etcs, let's stay friends.
